- Promotion of a strong safety culture where responsibility is shared at all levels
- Compliance with, and where possible exceeding, applicable safety, security, health, and environmental laws and regulations
- Provision and mandatory use of personal protective equipment that meets or exceeds statutory requirements
- Encouraging open reporting of hazards, near-misses, and opportunities for improvement without fear of reprisal
- Operating a Target Zero philosophy for unsafe acts and conditions, supported by learning from incidents and near-misses
- Systematic identification, assessment, and control of risks and hazards using clear acceptance criteria
- Continuous monitoring, measurement, and benchmarking of QHSE performance against industry standards and best practices
